TWENTY-TWO HUNDRED CHURCHES IN ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTEEN NATIONS
In January 1970 Prescott was a rural town of about 17,000 in northwestern Arizona. The Prescott Foursquare Church there was struggling when Wayman Mitchell came to pastor. It was a small abused congregation. It had been violated and broken. The addition of his family increased the size of the congregation to about two-dozen persons. This is the exciting story of evangelism, discipleship, and church planting that transformed it to an international ministry. Out of this small congregation in a small rural community God has raised a movement that has impacted the world. The Christian Fellowship Ministries (CFM) has birthed over twenty-two hundred churches in one hundred and sixteen nations. This story will be meaningful to layman and minister alike. It is important for the broader Christian community. In this story one can see how God can use common people to minister to the regions beyond.
